The River House open-air garden restaurant offers healthy homegrown lunches on the banks of the Burka Springs running through the Estate.
Adjacent to Burka Coffee Estate, Arusha's oldest and arguably most beautiful coffee plantation in Tanzania, The River House garden pavilions overlooking the river offer a sanctuary to both visitors and residents of Arusha. Healthy, and where possible, home-grown Lunches are a set, four course meal which includes a welcome drink, water and tea/coffee. A typical African menu is also offered for those guests wishing to totally immerse themselves in Africa.
The River House is open 7 days a week from 9:30am - 4:30pm. Lunches are by reservation only, whilst coffee and cake is available during opening hours without reservation.
During your visit, you may have a tour of our Shanga Shangaa workshop, browse uniquely crafted housewares made by our staff in the original Shanga Shop, or simply relax over a cappuccino enjoying the garden tranquility.
